• Police appreciation/recognition:

  • National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day in 2026 is on Friday January 9th, and is a wonderful way for residents to honor our law enforcement officers. It’s a day to recognize their difficult profession with activities like sending cards, letters or sharing a positive experience you or your family had with the Strathmoor Village police. I will be the lead person organizing this appreciation and will be putting together a binder of your comments to be presented to SV police.     As with anything at this time of the year (weather permitting) SV may host a community event honoring our police and you could help with suggestions/ideas: such as a blue ribbon day or wearing blue on January 9th, personally thank an officer, use blue porch lights etc. Details on any possible event will be released in early January.
